“We booked this trip for the Wednesday but unfortunately the minibus broke down. Staff quickly organised for us to go the next day instead. It all worked out though as we had a brilliant trip, there were only 6 of us on the tour which was great. It really felt like we had a more private tour. Carlos, our guide, was excellent, you couldn't ask for anyone better. Very funny, friendly and helpful, his knowledge of the Island was brilliant. He also added in a few extra little stops for the great views.”

“This two day tour gave us a really great taste of the island. Renato's commentary and care for us was exemplary. The sights at each of the stops were interesting and beautiful and if the weather had been kinder I'm sure we'd have had some stunning views from the top of the mountain (maybe next time). “What a fun day! Christophe showed us his country with such pride and detail. We learned so much and had a blast. He communicated with us thoroughly and was right on time for pick ups. We really enjoyed the other two people on our trip too. It was a great shared experience seeing the Fanal Forest, the Porto Moniz pools, the busy, but scenic look out at Cabo Girão, the off-roading, the poncha bar...and so much more. “We enjoyed sight seeing from the cable car. The tobaggan ride was fun, annd our tour guide waited a long time in line, while we waited at a cafe, for our turn to take that ride. Our tour Guide Miguel was GREAT. The Botanical Garden tour was a fiasco ( not Miguel’s fault ), We terminated it after a half hour of carefully finding a way to make it safely to the nearest exit because of the dangerous walkways, which were composed of wet slippery volcanic rock's most all STEEP SLOPES!!!, creating countless places where A YONE could suddenly and easily slip and fall. There was NO WARNING of these…”

“We enjoyed the full day tour a lot. Our driver took us to many beautiful view points around the island. He was a great driver, and had a lot of skill navigating the curvy mountain roads. He suggested a special stop for lunch with a beautiful view in Santana, which was less touristy. The sea pools were very fun to see. If you want to swim I suggest saving time for this spot and bringing along a swim suit and towel. The views around the island are gorgeous and you feel like you are seeing everything from the east to the west coast!”

“it's a great tour around the island if you dont intend to drive. Takes you to all the important places. But, whilst on the first day I had Gloria to tour us around, who is with a big smile on her face, and constantly telling us interesting facts about the island, i was not so lucky on the second day.”
