“Our driver/guide was Tony and he gave us lots of information. We were picked up slightly early from our hotel and got to the toboggans before the rush. The scenery in the Nuns Valley was amazing. The roads were quite tricky to negotiate but Tony handled them all with ease, all whilst communicating with his passengers in German, Portuguese and English. We thoroughly enjoyed this trip and got to see some amazing scenery we wouldn't have seen otherwise.”

“We had two tuk tuk’s. We were informed that queue for toboggan was three hours. We therefore still did our tour. Our guides one of which was Moyses were very informative and knowledgeable. Would do this again”

“Alexis was great. He was very informative. Called us ahead of the tour to say the basket ride had stopped selling tickets and closed the que as it was a 4 hr wait. Did we still want to go ahead with tour or cancel. We went ahead as wanted to see Funchal and see the baskets even if we couldn’t ride them. I would recommend this tour to anytime visit Funchal looking to fill a few hours. We were picked up from the shop and returned to the ship. Thank you Alexis you were great. Tammy and Paul”

“Had a lovely ride in the tuk tuk with Ricardo who did some stops along the way up to Monte. He has a great sense of humour and we both throughly recommend using this tour as an alternative way to explore the Island. The tobogganing is 100% worth it and will set you back 35 euros for 2 people for the ride. I advise booking this tour early to avoid the queues. We booked 9:30am, this was only a 10 minute wait at the top. Stopped off in the farmers market on the way down and by the santa maria church for some photos. Give it a go, it's fun…”

“Carla was our Tuk Tuk driver. She was amazing and super friendly. It was a rainy day in Funchal; she we out of her way to call the toboggan company to make sure they wait for us (just in case they shut down due to the weather). She was very patient with us and she showed us all around old city Funchal before dropping us back at the hotel. She showed us all her favorite places to eat and where to get traditional Madeiran souvenirs. My wife and I had an amazing time. 100% recommend.”

“We enjoyed sight seeing from the cable car. The tobaggan ride was fun, annd our tour guide waited a long time in line, while we waited at a cafe, for our turn to take that ride. Our tour Guide Miguel was GREAT. The Botanical Garden tour was a fiasco ( not Miguel’s fault ), We terminated it after a half hour of carefully finding a way to make it safely to the nearest exit because of the dangerous walkways, which were composed of wet slippery volcanic rock's most all STEEP SLOPES!!!, creating countless places where A YONE could suddenly and easily slip and fall. There was NO WARNING of these…”
